Notice: 70 Mile Eco-Depot Closed July 23, 2024

Please be aware that the 70 Mile Eco-Depot is closed today (July 23, 2024) due to close proximity to a wildfire, and to provide room for fire response activities.

Customers are asked to hold onto any garbage and recycling until the site reopens once it is safe to do so. If you require immediate disposal, please visit alternative locations that are listed below:

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) appreciates understanding of residents.

The TNRD Emergency Operations Centre is grateful for efforts of the 70 Mile Volunteer Fire Department Association, Watch Lake – North Green Lake Fire Department, South Green Lake Fire Department and the BC Wildfire Service for their response to the wildfire near the 70 Mile Eco-Depot. At this time, there are no Evacuation Alerts or Orders in place as a result of this fire.

Any Evacuation Alerts or Orders in TNRD Electoral Areas are communicated through multiple channels, including Voyent Alert which is free to use, anonymous, and users can receive updates from as many locations as they would like. To register for Voyent Alert, visit: tnrd.ca/voyent. Residents can also view all active Evacuation Alerts and Orders and view the interactive Emergency Map by visiting: eoc.tnrd.ca.
