The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Emergency Operations Centre advises that the Gottfriedsen Mountain Wildfire no longer poses an imminent risk of danger to life and properties to the areas shown on the attached maps.

Therefore pursuant to Section 5.4 of TNRD Local Authority Emergency Program Bylaw No. 2017, 2004, the Evacuation Alert issued on August 9, 2018 at 2000 hrs is rescinded for the area shown on the attached map, incorporating all properties, camping areas, etc north of Highway 97C including the following lakes:

  • Pennask Lake (western boundary);
  • Mellin Lake (northern boundary);
  • Barton Lake (north-eastern boundary); and
  • Eileen Lake (south-eastern boundary).
