Regional Grant-in-Aid Program

The Regional Grant-in-Aid program is meant to support non-profit organizations with cultural programs, recreational programs, environmental programs, and special events in TNRD communities that enhance quality of life for residents. Applicants can receive up to $5,000 per intake period.

Up to $50,000 are available per year through the Regional Grant-in-Aid program. Up to $25,000 can be awarded during each intake period. Funds for this program are drawn from property taxes collected from all 11 Member Municipalities and 10 Electoral Areas. All applications are reviewed for eligibility by the TNRD Regional Grants Committee, and funding awards are approved by the Board of Directors.

The TNRD provides for two application intakes each year:

    1. Fall intake due by September 1
    2. Spring intake due by May 1

For grants to be considered, written requests must be submitted on the grant application form, provided below.

Policy Update: At the October 12, 2023 regular meeting, the Board of Directors has approved revisions to Regional Grants and Sponsorship Policy 5.1.1. This included increasing the annual funding available through the program from $20,000 to $50,000, which means that up to $25,000 is now available during each intake period. Applicants can receive up to $5,000 in funding for a specific project or event.
